Casteddu is the capital of the Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Here, halfway between Europe and Africa, Amedeo was born in 1997. The major annual event of global importance is the announcement of the Amedeo Prize winner.

Casteddu is a dynamic city, and its inhabitants are outstandingly warmhearted and friendly. Food and wine are excellent. Deep blue is the essence of the Casteddu sky, and the surrounding sea is one of the best in the Mediterranean. The view over the Marina port district is breathtaking.
